Attend our free class Sunday January 20, 2008 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM
If you like it, you can join our choir, which typically meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. There is a fee to participate.
Description of Town Hall Singers
Sing rhythmic Bobby McFerrin-style songs with yummy harmonies. All adults, teens and seniors who can carry a tune are welcome. There are no auditions to participate. Solos and shared solos are available by informal audition. Those with limited mobility will participate in a flexible way.
In a supportive environment:
• Sing better than you thought you could
• Learn body percussion
• Sing easy or challenging parts
• Listen for scale tones and subdivisions of the beat
About the Director
Betsy Blakeslee, M. S. has performed, composed, and appeared on TV. Her background in music, movement and psychology, make her an exceptional teacher. She taught voice at Dominican
University, and directed choirs that performed at the UN Millennial Summit, The State of the World Forum, and in Bosnia during the war. She trained with the Roy Hart Theatre in France.
