Facilitated Study Group

A facilitated Study Group is forming to assist San Diego constituents in preparing for both the LEED Green Associate Exam and the LEED AP credential exam.  This will be a pilot phase program, in which group members will meet weekly and discuss LEED specific topics.  In conjunction with the World Beat center, enrollees will get both exam prep and project experience, allowing them to sit for the exam.  The structure will consist of 3 weeks of Green Assoc. prep, followed by 7 weeks of LEED EBOM prep for the AP credential test. All study group members will be responsible for purchasing their own Study Guides from the USGBC website.

 The entire course is intended to provide 10 weeks of group meetings, in which individual questions can be answered, as well as 3 guest lectures where enrollees will get an opportunity to hear first-hand experiences with the LEED process.

The Group schedule will be Tuesday evenings at 6:30-7:30PM with the venue TBA.

The course will go from 09/21-11/09, with a break for GreenBuild and Thanksgiving, resuming for the last two weeks of review on 11/30 and 12/07. 

There will be a guest lecture on 10/05 (last day of Green Assoc. review), 11/09, and 12/07 from 5:30-6:30 preceding the study group. 

Enrollment will be limited to a maximum of 25 people.

 Fees:

GA – free to members, $20 to non-members (enrollees will be responsible for purchasing their own GA study guides mandatory, and optional LEED Core Concepts & Strategies books from USGBC)

EBOM AP - $25 to members, $50 to non-members (enrollees will be responsible for purchasing their own study EBOM study guides mandatory, and optional Reference Guides)
