Ages 9 to 15
Description: Students will learn to read a schematic as well as solder and build a kit using a Printed Circuit Board (PCB).
The students will learn to solder. They will also put together an electronics kit using tools. They will learn about circuit boards and how they work. This class is a great opportunity to encourage your child to explore the field of electronics and engineering. The cost of the materials will need to be borne by the participants. The training will be at the level taught at a high school vocational level.
About the Instructor: The instructor is an Electrical Engineer who has also taught vocational electronics at Eastland Vocational.
This class is a good opportunity for various ages as he will walk around and help them trouble shoot their project as well as doing some direct instruction at the beg. of class.
Students need to purchase a kit to build unless they have another kit already. The kit needs to be within completion range of the 4 week class.
