Bethany Lutheran Church will host the Colorado Chamber Players in a lively concert featuring works by composers from Canada, Italy, USA, Chile, Mexico and Argentina

Beethoven's quartet op. 95 is a stormy and passionate work.   Mexican composer Silvestre Revueltas' "Musica de Feria" for string quartet, evokes a colorful street fair.  "Ancient Wing" is a stunning tour de force for solo flute by Chilean-American composer Miguel Chuaqui.

Renowned guitarist Masakazu Ito has recently been appointed a core member of the Colorado Chamber Players. He returns to perform a fantastic program featuring Boccherini's Guitar Quintet in D major, with the teasing Fandango finale.  Ito and flutist Paul Nagem will also perform Piazzolla's sultry "L'Histoire du Tango".

Mr. Ito is recognized as one of today's top guitarists, acclaimed by musicians, composers, conductors, and critics for his mastery of the instrument and its repertoire.  "He has it all," says guitarist Ricardo Iznaola, "virtuosity, musicality and flair.  He is certainly a name to watch."  Since Mr. Ito’s professional debut in Tokyo in 1987, he has won top prizes in seven major international guitar competitions.  He is currently an Instructor of Guitar at the Lamont School of Music
