Event Details

Do you have bird specimens or bird eggs in your museum? Would you like to discuss these collections with a specialist? Would you like a basic introduction to curation and management of bird and egg collections?

This workshop will aim to develop participants’ confidence in working with bird and egg collections. The day will focus on discussion of typical bird specimens and bird eggs likely to be found in Scottish collections, and explore the issues museums face day-to day with regards to curation and management of these.

The day will concentrate on offering practical advice, sharing National Museums Scotland's experience through examples and provide information on sources for further advice.

Please visit www.nms.ac.uk/training for full course details

Who is this programme for?

Participants can be from any type of collecting organisation, however the course is aimed primarily at museum and gallery professionals in Scotland.
