Event overview

2010 has already been a landmark year in terms of Government and particularly for legislation in the carbon sector. April 2010 saw the launch of the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme – the UK’s carbon cap and trade scheme – and Feed-In Tariffs, offering significant incentive for renewable electricity generation. There has been an overwhelming response from those affected but it’s not over yet. Building Regulations are due to be updated, the EU is hoping to extend requirements for EPCs, DECs and energy performance in a redraft of the existing Directive, and a re-launch of the widely used BREEAM building assessment scheme is expected.

What can I expect?

Our respected in house expert Ellie Horwitch-Smith will help guide you through the impacts and opportunities behind all these changes. CRC and the Feed-In Tariff will be a particular focus, and Ellie will offer her insights into how organisations are responding and what we are doing to help our clients navigate this complex and growing carbon industry. We will also offer our latest understanding of the future Government position on various initiatives.
