Event Details

** Thank you so much for your interest in the United Way for Southeastern Michigan's Attorney Initiative event.  Due to our overwhelming response you will be contacted to confirm your RSVP.  We look forward to sharing the United Way story with you.  Again, Thank you for your interest in working with us to help the community. **

We are inviting you and other prominent attorneys in the Southeastern Michigan region to join us for a social event on November 1, 2007 from 6:00pm to 9:00 pm at the newly renovated The Whitney restaurant.  The purpose of this social event is two-fold.

We will have the opportunity to hear from our special guest speaker, General Motors Vice President Global Design Edward T. Welburn, Jr. and also learn about the exciting changes that are occurring at United Way for Southeastern Michigan and how the Tocqueville Society is vital to that transformation.

Much of Metropolitan Detroit's success depends on having strong business and professional leaders like you who are dedicated corporate citizens. In that regard, we are fortunate to have many involved law firms and corporate legal departments that have a legacy of leadership, philanthropy, and volunteerism.  We sincerely hope that this social event will provide an opportunity to network with colleagues, stimulate some interesting discussion and create new support for the Tocqueville Society.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on November 1st.

United Way for Southeastern Michigan

United Way brings communities together to focus on the most important needs in the community -- building partnerships, forging consensus and leveraging resources to make a measurable difference. If it requires fundraising, going to Congress, or just getting people to work together, that's what we do. We look at root causes - it's not enough to feed a hungry family, we look to change the conditions that led to hunger in the first place.
