Event overview

All matters relating to asbestos surveying have been strengthened by the issue of the new HSE guidance HSG264 ‘Asbestos - The Survey Guide’ released in January 2010.

This guidance replaces MDHS100 and removes existing Type 1, 2 & 3 surveys which will be replaced with either a management survey or a refurbishment/demolition survey. The guidelines also tackle the subject of caveats and limitations in surveys, quality control, survey planning and information dissemination and data management.
