Webinar Speaker:

- Donnie Fowler, Senior Advisor, Clean Economy Network

Proposition 23, a deceptive initiative backed by political ideologues with a promised war chest of $50 million from oil and coal companies that are fighting competition from clean tech industries, will be on the November 2010 California ballot. Polls show that their argument resonates with many California voters and thus poses a major risk to the clean tech industry, with repercussions that reach to every other state.

The ballot initiative aims to indefinitely suspend AB 32, California’s Global Warming Solutions Act that has promoted American innovation in clean energy technology and created market forces that have directed billions of dollars into new research, new companies, and new jobs.

Success, or even significant momentum, by opponents of the clean economy will destabilize clean tech markets, make public policy unpredictable, and scare off capital. The two-front war against climate and energy laws—in California and in Congress—poses a significant threat to clean tech's recent bipartisan progress, so we need your support and voice to defeat Proposition 23.

Learn why the best people to stop this anti-business initiative are, in fact, business leaders and how you can get involved with our efforts. Find out more about the issue here.
