TOPIC OF DISCUSSION
How many times are women catty to each other? Yet, they are the same individuals who pushes forward women empowerment and equality. How can women be considered as equals as men when we are own detriment? We need to empower women not just in a man's world, but also in "our" world. This evening we will explore this topic and, at the same time, highlight some of the most notable women in San Francisco who deal with this every day, personally and professionally. How are they able to achieve their success by embracing their femininity and still be a respected career powerhouse?

Bridging Communities to Inspire, Share, & Connect
__________________________________________________________________________________

What is Chic Meets Geek?
It's an event that challenges attendees, BOTH MEN & WOMEN, with thought-provoking ideas and situations by presenting different communities to inspire, share & connect. It's where tech conference meets red carpet meets charity fundraiser. It's a power networking event for the extroverts to the wallflowers.

What are Chic Meets Geek "MINI CHATS"?
Chic Meets Geek is known to bridge communities and breaking barriers and judgments. It's about inspiring others, sharing knowledge, and connecting people.

We're continuing to bring LARGE Chic Meets Geek events to your local community, but have now added the "MINI CHATS" as a way of bridging communities "within" a community.  Each month, Chic Meets Geek will deliver SMALLER events that cater towards a specific community.  Within that community, we will examine how to bridge the gap and unify it to make a larger impact to other groups.

What to Expect at this 3 Hour "Mini Chat" Event?
It's an event that does good, inspires, and saves time. Distinct elements are taken from each of these three events and are condensed in under 3 hours in a much more intimate setting than a large Chic Meets Geek event.

1) Speaker Panel Discussion- Panel of influential women leaders in the San Francisco community that represent either the cultural chic or intellectual geek.
  • MINI CHAT TOPIC OF DISCUSSION:
How many times are women catty to each other? Yet, they are the same individuals who pushes forward women empowerment and equality. How can women be considered as equals as men when we are own detriment? We need to empower women not just in a man's world, but also in "our" world. This evening we will explore this topic and, at the same time, highlight some of the most notable women in San Francisco who deal with this every day, personally and professionally. How they are able to achieve their success by embracing their femininity and still be a respected career powerhouse.

2) Evening Cocktail Social - Inclusive of the ticket, you will receive the elegance of evening glamour, cocktail attire, an day/evening makeup look, and a personal wardrobe analysis by specialist Tyese Cooper, and a take-home goodie bag for the attendees.
  • Are you chic? Dress up in cocktail attire.
  • Are you a geek? Dress up in your best geek attire.
  • This is Chic Meets Geek. Dress the part. Cocktail Meets Geek Attire. (See Photos from "LARGE" ChicMeetsGeek events: http://ow.ly/2jHrZ)
3) Non-Profit - The non-profit spotlighted is GIRLS FOR A CHANGE.

4) Entertainment - Be entertained by chic elegance of classical violin music by Emily Palen, an accomplished violinist that have performed solo and with many other artists, such as the Foo Fighters.

5) Hors d'oeuvres & Wine

Still Unsure?
  • It's a unique opportunity to meet individuals you would not normally meet in your circle.
  • It's a power networking event for the extroverts to the wallflowers. It's not how many business cards you can collect at the end of the night.  It's about walking away from the event with at least 2-3 meaningful connections - both personal and business.
  • Chic Meets Geek is a "user experience." You have to attend to experience it.

  • Event Costs:

    1) Regular Ticket - Early Online Registration - $25 - 30. Only 30 women are able to attend this event, so purchase your tixs early!

Guests with regular tixs will have access to the event at 6:00 p.m. and will have access to an open bar of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as an all-you-can-eat hor d'oeurves bar for 5 hours. The first few attendees to arrive will receive gift bags stuffed with chic and geek schwag.

    ChicMeetsGeek™

ChicMeetsGeek™ is an event designed to bridge the social gap between the cultural chic and intellectual geeks. It is similar to a conference, but with a social atmosphere.

The purpose is to gather two different groups in one room to inspire, share, and connect through a panel of geek and chic celebrity speakers to talk about their inspirational background.

A nonprofit beneficiary is highlighted at every ChicMeetsGeek™ event and themed around the speaker panelists' expertise to bridge the gap.
