Learn about the
California Cultural Data Project
Discover how your data can work for you.
Beginning in January 2008, the Cultural Data
Project will launch in California. The California Cultural Data Project (California CDP) is a state-wide collaborative effort and is the result of a unique
partnership of public and
private funders.
The California CDP will provide a standardized online system for collecting historical financial and organizational data and it will be used for grant
applications to many of the participating funders throughout California. Organizations only need to complete a Data Profile (the online form used for
collecting financial and other
operational information) once each fiscal year.
The California CDP will provide the cultural community with consistent
and comprehensive data on arts and culture in the state, enabling organizations
to view trends in their data and benchmark themselves against peer
organizations. The California CDP will also allow organizations to view reliable
data about the cultural sector and enhance both the individual organizational
capacity as well as the overall effectiveness of the nonprofit cultural community.
Learn how the California CDP
will benefit your organization.
