Applied Agile Training
Brief
Attendees will have a one of a kind, unique experience. Participants will be immersed into an "applied agile training environment" that allows a powerful combination of shadowing, applying and learning. Attendees will shadow a "well formed agile team", apply techniques in a robust product domain, and learn how to join and setup "well formed agile teams". This course goes beyond theory by making the theory real and allowing attendees to internalize the ideas in an applied setting. Attendees will have numerous opportunities for interactive discussions with instructors, each other and members of the shadowed team. You will not find this course elsewhere! For those interested, a CSM certification for this course can be obtained, please inquire.
Why This Course and Description
This training creates an immersion experience that mixes theory, simulation and real application.
Classic IT organizations faced with growing project complexity often look to Six Sigma or similar for process improvement. Tools such as DMAIC and SIPOC are powerful when applied to repeatable processes, but software development creates a different product with each project. Organizations that focus on process will bring slight gains in quality, but dramatically slow product development. Infrastructure takes longer to plan and deploy at the expense of being obsolete when finally deployed.
This 3-day highly interactive event will demonstrate Agile methods proven to gain both productivity (4X) and quality (10X). Theory is taught in the classroom and powerfully reinforced by visits to an actual Agile software development team (in-flight on a real project) and experiences shared by instructors who have done it. Participants will be able to see 1st hand working product backlog, observe daily stand-up synchronization meetings, and view a high-performing, collaborative Agile team in action. The class will work through an unfolding requirements simulation, guided by vision, and grouped into small iterations so that the final outcome emerges from pieces completed just in time. There will be two highly qualified instructors present to handle the intense interactive discussions that are necessary to learn from these experiences.

About Us
Through a comprehensive offering of training, coaching, and consulting services, 3Back will guide your organization to a new level of business perception and action.
Product is Developed by People
The problem with product development is not motivation - your team works hard. The problem is not workload - there is enough capacity. Repeatedly, we observe hard-working teams that just cannot seem to apply their collective skills in the right ways.
At 3Back we believe in human-powered methodologies for developing complex products such as software systems. Our primary focus is on helping teams apply their effort more effectively. We train and coach on Agile development, with an emphasis on the importance of engaging the human side of the equation. As members of the Scrum Alliance we are strong supports of the agile community.
Better teams make better products, faster.
We make teams better.
