On August 4th the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council will be hosting an informational luncheon on the details of Crowdsourcing. This fascinating trend of outsourcing tasks to a crowd is changing how businesses operate and innovate. Kyle Hawke, Founder of Whinot, will present the background and value of crowdsourcing, and also provide actionable recommendations on how small business managers can harness the power of the crowd.  This is a not-to-be missed event for those looking to cut costs and improve efficiencies in marketing, operations and innovation within their own business or for their clients.

Lunch Buffet will be provided from 11:30-12:00, Program begins at 12:00 PM

Speaker Biography
 
Kyle Hawke founded Whinot in 2009 and is based in Charlottesville, VA. Whinot provides crowdsourced business consulting for small-medium business owners.

His broad experience in new product introductions includes the implementation of the end-to-end supply chain solution for a cable client's 4th Generation (4G) wireless offering and the distribution network design for a telecom client’s fiber optic TV service. Previously, as a consultant for Accenture, Mr. Hawke led numerous consulting teams and client organizations through all phases of technology development for some of the largest telecom providers in the US.

He holds a BBA with concentrations in operations management and computer information systems from James Madison University and is currently a MBA candidate the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. His specialties include supply chain management, telecommunications, information technology, crowdsourcing and open innovation.
