Even strict adherence to accessibility guidelines may not ensure that a product or website is usable by people with disabilities. This presentation will examine usability issues specific--and not so specific--to the needs of assistive technology users and others with disabilities, and will recommend some directions for facilitating inplementation of genuine accessibility.

Jane Berliss-Vincent has been active in the accessibility field for 20 years as a product evaluator, researcher, writer, product manager, service provider, and trainer. Her personal website is www.janevincent.com.
