Please plan to join us for "Sales for the Non-Sales Professional" on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at 11:45 AM at the Fort Worth office of Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff & Miller, LLP located in the Carter Burgess Plaza in the heart of downtown.
 
 
 
Our speaker is Shelley Plemons, CEO/President, Strategic Sales Solutions  
 
 
The world of sales has dramatically changed from the days of old. Business has changed and to make things worse, the cost of doing business is at an all-time high resulting in cutbacks on sales professionals. As a business professional, you are left with the daunting task of continuing with your current workload and expected to get involved in sales. You want to increase your organization's client base and land business but selling is not your first profession. What do you do?
 
First, don't panic! Second, participate in this workshop, which will introduce the non-sales professional to the principles of consultative selling and assist you in mastering sales concepts and skills. Enhance your confidence by using your everyday communication skills and personality to win business!

· Take a structured approach to conversation that will enhance your confidence, ability and, ultimately results.
 
· Acquire a consultative approach to your interactions with your customers.
 
· Identify and qualify what leads you need to capture, starting with your existing contacts.
 
· Learn the art of asking questions and listening in order to interpret your customer's needs.
 
· Represent your product or service in a conversational style focused on the benefits to your customer.
 
· Ask for business and win.

Shelley Plemons founded Strategic Sales Solutions in 2002 building on her successful 20-year career as a sales professional in the healthcare field. Shelley's area of specialty is the development of successful sales systems, the assessment and refinement of sales and sales management skills, and the deployment of strategic sales initiatives. She has conducted healthcare sales training programs for CEOs, sales managers, and sales teams at companies worldwide.

Shelley is also a well-known public speaker. Her program, "It Takes a Team to Make a Sale," has been the feature presentation at the sales and management meetings of several national healthcare organizations. Also, Shelley has developed a dynamic "SALES" process that has been presented to several organizations throughout the US and internationally.

Shelley's professional vision is to help organizations that want to dramatically increase their revenue by developing their sales force and programs to be the best they can be. Strategic Sales Solutions offers sales training, individual coaching, sales system development, sales team and organizational structure assessments, and dynamics coaching. She has enjoyed a successful record of accomplishment using her motivational consultative style to advance organizations towards success.

Before founding Strategic Sales Solutions, Shelley was Vice President of Sales for Managed Health Network (MHN), LifeCare, and Executive Director of Referral Development for Charter Medical Corporation, in addition to other senior management positions in the healthcare field. She also has provided consultative services for emerging healthcare organizations. During her career in Sales, Shelley set numerous company records for revenue and managed many Fortune 500 clients including Tandy/Radio Shack, Phillips Petroleum, 7-Eleven, Mary Kay, and EDS.

Shelley holds a Masters of Science in Counseling from Amber University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Texas Christian University. She is a licensed therapist. She also enjoys teaching self-esteem and motivational programs to teen girls and adult women.

PARKING

Complimentary valet parking is available in the Carter Burgess Plaza parking garage located on the corner of 7th and Commerce Streets.  Parking tickets may be validated in the lobby on the 38th Floor.  Parking will be validated for all those in attendance.  It is suggested that participants validate their parking before entering the library for the Business Bites presentation.
