Event Details

Kids can’t learn or grow if they are anxious about their safety. This curriculum provides staff working in group homes, classrooms, and other settings with the mindset and skills necessary for preventing and intervening in situations where safety is a concern – so that the stage can be set for positive learning and growth.

The benefits of training staff in this curriculum include:

  • Strengthening relationships between staff and youth
  • Enhancing staff effectiveness in preventing crisis situations and responding to escalated behaviors
  • Reducing the potential for injury to staff and youth in violent and aggressive situations

Day one focuses on interpersonal skills. Day two focuses on non-restrictive and restrictive physical skills.

Both days are 9:00 - 4:00 (lunch on your own), Sign in begins at 8:30 am
