Volunteer for the 39th Annual Art & Wine Festival

Come join us for a great time!!  Your help is needed to make the 39th Annual Chamber of Commerce Mountain View Art & Wine Festival the best Festival yet!  We are looking for fun volunteers of all ages to work 4 1/2 hour shifts on Saturday and/or Sunday, September 11th & 12th, 2010.

Besides a beautiful and enjoyable day at the event, each volunteer will receive a FREE 39th Annual Art & Wine Festival T-shirt, an invitation to the Appreciation Party on Tuesday, September 14th, 2010, and one great big dose of fun!

The booths will be staffed by teams, and up to FOUR volunteers per booth will be needed. Teams of couples, families and friends are welcome. State law requires that anyone pouring alcohol must be at least 21 years old. All volunteers may sell tickets and wine or beer glasses.

FAQ:

1. Why are there only 2 volunteer shifts on Saturday/Sunday this year instead of 3 like last year?

As many of our past volunteers know, transition between shifts can be confusing and challenging. If volunteers are late for their shifts or simply fail to show up at all, booths may go unmanned or undermanned which creates a negative festival experience for our guests. By only offering 2 shifts, we reduce the number of transitions throughout the day and ensure the oncoming shift of volunteers arrive on time and ready to go! This will also improve the experience of guests as lines at the booth will move more quickly and efficiently.

2. Why do you need to see my ID at volunteer check-in on the day of the Festival?

Due to strict insurance and legal requirements, nobody under 21 is allowed to volunteer in the alcohol booths. To ensure the festival is legally compliant, we must visually check the ID of each volunteer before they report to an alcohol booth. Individuals under 21 will be given opportunities to volunteer in the Ticket/Glass Sales booths.
