Sisters is proud to present our fourth Indo-Caribbean Women's
Empowerment Summit, a call to solidarity and sisterhood among women of
Indo-Caribbean heritage!
Join us June 18th-20th for three days
of workshops and presentations from scholars, artists, activists, and
community leaders.
This year’s summit strives to build a
stronger community as we explore the history of Indo-Caribbean women,
discuss the issues we are facing today, and create a vision for our
future. Topics will include gender-based oppression, healthy
relationships, immigrants' rights, domestic workers' rights, housing
rights, and more.
Featured Speakers: Professor Patricia
Mohammed of the University of the West Indies, Journalist Gaiutra
Bahadur, The Rajkumari Cultural Center, Sakhi for South Asian Women,
Domestic Workers United, Third Wave Foundation, Chhaya CDC, and more.

An intergenerational dialogue, incorporating
the arts, on cultural equity and what it means to be an Indo-Caribbean

event is completely free and donations are encouraged.
