A Day of Discovery
To be held
Friday, October 26, 2007
For All Illinois Home Schooled Students Aged 10-15 and Their Parents
We are pleased to announce Dr. Leon Lederman, Nobel Laureate and IMSA Resident Scholar as our Keynote Speaker.
Student attendees will be able to participate in interactive mathematics classes, experiential science classes and several hands-on
learning activity tables. Families will be able to sit in on a high school
home schooling expert panel, and sessions related to web based resources such as the Illinois Virtual High School. Information on IMSA as an option for high school aged students will also be presented.

Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a formal welcome to follow.
Day of Discovery programming will run until 1:30 p.m.
There is no cost for the IMSA Day of Discovery,
but reservations are required to attend the event.

The internationally recognized Illinois Mathematics and Science AcademyŽ (IMSA) develops creative, ethical leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. As a teaching and learning laboratory created by the State of Illinois, IMSA enrolls academically talented Illinois students (grades 10-12) in its advanced, residential college preparatory program. It also serves thousands of educators and students in Illinois and beyond through innovative instructional programs that foster imagination and inquiry.
