Putting the “Ready” in Business Readiness

Communication, training, support, and change management. Business Readiness is a new term and encompasses components that are familiar to learning and development. However, look it up on Google, Wikipedia, or other search engines and it's not there. At least not in the way we have been talking about it. Why? Is it because it is so new and the components such as change management, communications, training and end user support are typically run by project managers? Or are they? How do you, as a learning professional, affect these components?

Please join Darren Nerland, of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, for this dynamic presentation. We are delighted that he is able to provide this session to us, as he just gave this session at the recent ASTD International Conference and Exposition.   You'll explore how the direction and guidance you provide in these areas affect overall projects and success of new processes, ERP roll outs and training delivery in your organization.  You will walk away with a plan for communications, training and support for major rollouts in your organization, and be able to explain and integrate change management in component of Business Readiness.

This program supports the Facilitating Organizational Change competency in the ASTD Competency Model.

Online registration closes on the Saturday prior to the chapter meeting. At that time we are no longer able to accept pre-registrations.

Please note that once the online registration is closed, we encourage and welcome you to attend and pay at the door.

The meeting fees at the door are: Members - $20, Non Members $30.

Please note: there is 2 hours of free parking in the SODO parking lot.  If you think you might need more time, ASTDps has been issued day passes.  Volunteers will be available between 7:30 and 8:00 am just inside the main entrance with the day passes for you to place in your car.  Thank you for your cooperation.
