The Michigan Prisoner ReEntry Initiative (MPRI) is a cooperative effort of the Michigan Department of Corrections, Michigan Department of Community Health, Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth, Michigan Department of Education, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the Governor’s Office, and community stakeholders (including non-profit and faith-based organizations).
The vision of the MPRI is that every prisoner released to the community will have the tools needed to succeed. To that end, partners from every aspect of public and private sectors are working together to achieve two goals: 1) promote public safety by reducing the threat of harm to persons and their property by released offenders in the communities to which those offenders return; and 2) increase the success rates of former prisoners by fostering effective risk management and treatment programming, accountability, and community and victim participation.
MPRI has three phases: Getting Ready, Going Home, and Staying Home.
PRI Wayne County is pleased to announce the release of three (3) Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Collectively, the RFPs are seeking services in the following service areas:
