We are inviting you, the cupcake connoisseurs and lovers of Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, to join us in sampling and judging Vancouver's Best Cupcake! Through collaboration with notable Foodies and Bloggers in Vancouver, as well as the general public, we will present awards and notoriety for the business voted as baking the most favourable cupcake at the event.

There will be two awards presented: Judges' Choice and People's Choice!

Mix and mingle with yummy bakers and test a variety of cupcake flavours and recipes!
With prizes awarded throughout the day, this is a tasty event that you will certainly not want to miss.

Hosting an event or preparing for your Wedding Day? Meet personally with cupcake connoisseurs in Vancouver to discuss your party!

       Vancouver's 1st Cupcake Competition for the "Judges' Choice" will delightfully be judged by...

Mark Busse:

Busse is a founder of Foodists.ca as well as partner & design director at Industrial Brand in Vancouver, BC. He is also a Past President of GDC/BC and host of Likemind Vancouver.

Miranda Nelson:
Nelson is the assistant editor for Straight.com, a passionate advocate for food security, and an absolutely terrible cook. However, she does have a great deal of enthusiasm for consuming the culinary delights created by others. 

Sheri Radford
:
As the editor of Where Vancouver and Where Whistler magazines, Sheri Radford spends her days wrestling with commas, taming adjectives and banishing adverbs. In the evenings, she writes children's books such as "Penelope and the Humongous Burb", "Penelope and the Monsters", and "Penelope and the Preposterous Birthday Party".

Anya Levykh:
Anya Levykh has been the food and wine columnist for Metro Vancouver newspaper for several years, is the Vancouver reporter for EAT Magazine and has a weekly food segment on CBC Radio One’s On the Coast. She has a passion for cupcakes, banana bread and anything else her four-year-old has created.

Jen Ranjit:
Jenn Ranjit has had a lifelong passion for the baking and pastry arts which was further refined during her education at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in 2008. After graduating she began making wedding cakes and catering and finally teaching classes at the Cookshop in Vancouver.

Elizabeth White:
Elizabeth White went to culinary school at VCC in 2004. After graduation she worked for several bakeries, including Solly's Bagels, Cobs Breads, and is now the production manager for Tartine Tarts. She has a boyfriend and two fluffy cats. She is currently writing a cookbook for gluten free vegan baking.
