The Chicago Silverlight Users Group presents: MVVM with Damon Payne

The Model View ViewModel (MVVM) is one of the most quickly and widely adopted design patterns in recent memory.  The models and conventions built into Silverlight and WPF lend themselves to this pattern extremely well. Join Damon Payne as he discusss a history of Presentation Model patterns, MVVM in Silverlight and WPF, and how to achieve Blendability at design time with MVVM.  He'll also spend some time demonstrating how MVVM helps you cope with the asynchronous constructs in Silverlight.

About the speaker: Damon Payne is a life-long geek, Microsoft MVP, father, husband, audio/video nut, philosopher, pundit, wine drinker, and short order cook who lives in the unexplored swamps near Milwaukee.  Damon works mostly in the areas of Smart Client software (including Silverlight, mobile devices, WPF, and Windows Phone 7) and Solution Architecture; he also does web programming and has professional interests in parallel programming, object-relational mappers, and requirements gathering.

The Chicago Silverlight Users Group meets on the first Wednesday of every month and focuses on Microsoft Silverlight, WPF and XAML design and development.
