Robert (Bob) Morus, the founder, will be leading the tasting and introduction to Phelp’s Creek wines.  Bob founded and serves as President and Director of Winegrowing for the Mt. Defiance Wine Company and Phelps Creek Vineyards.  He moved to Hood River in 1989 with the express goal of raising wine grapes and kids!  Today, the estate’s vineyards consist of 30 acres.  When not tending the vines or selling the wines, Bob commands a Boeing 777 in international operations for a major airline.

Executive Chef and Jam Cafe owner, Av Atikian, has prepared a food match for each of the wines in order to show off both the wines and the food.  

As an optional extra, JAM Café is offering a special prix fixe menu for $28.00 for SAW members and guests who may be interested in staying for dinner after the tasting. You may sign up for the prix fixe at the same time as for the tasting.

The laws of the Province of Ontario apply & I hereby certify that I (we) or any guests are of legal drinking age, 19 years or older.

By purchasing tickets, the purchaser(s) hereby agrees to accept, uphold and be governed by this Agreement.

I (we) take full responsibility for actions arising from the amount of alcohol consumed at all Society for American Wines (SAW) tastings, meetings and events, and accept same for those guests for whom tickets have been purchased. 

I (we) hereby release SAW and its directors from any damages caused by accident or incident, and agree to save SAW and its directors completely harmless and indemnify them from any damage/injury to person or property arising from attendance and/or participation at any SAW tastings, meetings and events and agree to voluntarily assume any risks associated with same.  Specifically, I (we) waive the right to seek damages of any sort from SAW and its directors.

I (WE) HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS AND FREELY ACCEPT IT TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT OR ASSURANCE OF ANY NATURE.  NOTWITHSTANDING THAT IF ANY PORTION OF THIS AGREEMENT IS HELD TO BE INVALID, THE BALANCE SHALL CONTINUE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT.
