Gay Day @ Water World

Water World Lawyer Speak: Water World recommends proper swimming attire while enjoying the rides. Cutoff shorts are accepted, only if there are no rivets on the shorts. Thong bikinis are allowed, but not encouraged. If a guest finds someone wearing a thong bikini offensive, we will ask them to put something else on. Any guest wearing clothing that is offensive, such as clothing with profanity, will be asked to change, or leave the park.

HOMO BASE

Billy and his gang will be arriving early that day to setup camp or as we like to call it HOMO BASE for the day’s adventures! HOMO BASE will be located in the Grand Pavilion located west of Thunder Bay. Billy also pointed out that is vantage point will provide not only the maximum sun exposure for tanning but that this is also the best location for people watching in park because quite frequently the massive wave that is released into Thunder Bay every 4mins tends to catch some un-expecting park quests off guard and they tend to lose any articles of clothing that are not secured properly! If you enter the pool with a two piece suite and come out with a one piece don’t say that we didn’t warn you!

When you purchase your ticket(s) in advance not only will you save a bundle of cash, you will also get some Denver Guerrilla Queer Bar temporary tattoos. While you are more then welcome to wear them out and about before the event, Billy does have suggested uses for them! Granted some will be sporting this season’s latest swim wear fashions from International Male and easily spotted other guerrilla followers may blend in with the crowd. So remember those temporary tattoos? This is where they come in to play. Billy suggests wearing the tattoo, preferably somewhere visible kids, to help us identify each other while at the park. Because remember the main goal is to get a fun group of people to join together and have fun where ever our traveling party takes us!

Advanced tickets can be purchase at any Guerrilla Queer Bar event, online, Heaven Sent Me (116. S Broadway), JR’s Bar & Grill (777 E. 17th Ave), Relatively Wilde (42 S. Broadway), and Macho Sissy <-- this location only accepts cash transactions (1209 E. 9th Ave). All orders are final and no refunds will be given. Tickets purchased online after 12 PM on August 6, 2003 will be held at JR's will call. The final day to pickup/purchase tickets is AUGUST 15, 2003 at JR’s Bar & Grill 7 PM – 11 PM, final will call closes at 11 PM. Any unclaimed tickets at will call after 11 PM on 8/15/03 will be mailed after the event and no refunds will be given. All sales are final. These tickets are good anytime during the 2003/2004 season of Water World. A PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED FOR ALL WILL CALL TICKETS

After Party at JRs

Why it wouldn’t be a Guerrilla Queer Bar party without a little drinking involved now would it? After spending all that time in sun working on the tan you should have a place to show it off right? Well Billy has all the bases covered! The party will continue after Water World at JR’s Bar & Grill 777 E. 17th Ave in Denver. Kids remember to keep those swimsuits on because anyone wearing a swimsuit will receive ½ off drinks all night long!

Free Parking: Over 2,400 free parking spaces
Locker Rental: To safeguard your belongings, coin operated and all day lockers are conveniently located throughout the park.
Splash Cash: No one likes soggy money. Splash Cash, available in $5 and $10 denominations, is worn as a water proof wristband and is accepted throughout the park.
Inner Tube Rental: The majority of attractions at Water World require an inner tube to ride. We provide tubes for you on rides that require them. If you would like to avoid waiting in tube pick-up lines or would like a tube for the wave pools, you may rent one from us. (Personal flotation devices are not allowed on the attractions)
Locker Rooms: Men's and women's locker rooms complete with restrooms and shower facilities.
Accessibility: Water World features a number of attractions and facilities that are accessible to the disabled.
Safety Restrictions: Glass containers and alcoholic beverages are not allowed at Water World. Safety straps are required on all eyewear to ride attractions. Some attractions have height requirements. Any behavior or personal appearance that is deemed inappropriate by management may result in ejection from the park.
