Event Details

ONLY GET ONE TICKET TYPE PER PERSON!   You are either a reenactor or a vehicle owner/crew, but not both!

This year's Thunder Over Michigan will feature WWII aircraft, including as many as 8 flying B17s and a flying Me262!   This ticket system is for the World War II re-enactors and military vehicle displays, NOT FOR general admittance!  There will be a morning and afternoon WWII battle on Saturday and Sunday.   The Friday evening "Thunder Over Michigan Air & Ground Parade" in Belleville and vehicle convoy to and from Belleville is being organized by Chris Causley

The Museum will provide Saturday and Sunday military lunch from a WWII field kitchen for the first 250 re-enactors / vehicle owners registered.  A Saturday evening meal can be arranged for a modest fee for those units that would prefer to eat on site  -- details to be announced.  No overnight camping - however there will be on site security all night, provided by private security.

Troops will be bivouaced in a secure building at the Wayne County Fairgrounds about 1.5 miles away.  The bivouac building is a concrete floored building allowing your unit to set up cots or mats for the overnight stay with a modern bathroom facility.  The building will be kept locked during the day on Saturday and re-opened after activities cease on Saturday, allowing all the bedding to stay set up and secure. There will be a reasonable "lights out" in affect, so everyone can get proper rest.  If you would prefer to camp, it can be arranged but your camp will not be monitored / secure.

WWII HRS Safety and Authenticty rules will be enforced.  For more details, visit http://www.worldwartwohrs.org/.  The museum reserves the right to reject participation from anyone that fails to comply with staff directions or for behaviour detrimental to the event.

If you are a miltaria vendor (not T-shirts or other genral or typical novelties), the set up charge is a modest $65 per 10 foot x 15 foot of 'store' frontage right in the re-enactor's camp area.   Email directly to make arrangements.

email inquiries from reenactors at this event should be sent to AlanMiltich@comcast.net

email inquiries from military vehicle owners and vendors should be sent to Chris Causley, green78nova@sbcglobal.net
