Event Details

Celebrate all that is Fatted Calf with an intimate look at their Napa HQ and a visit to Hudson Ranch, which supplies the pasture-raised, heritage breedhormone- and antibiotic-free pork that helps make Fatted Calf's products taste so goodWe'll begin the day with a guided a tour of the facility where Taylor Boetticher, Fatted Calf's founder/owner/chef will show us how they produce their legendary artisanal charcuterie, like pâté, salami, prosciutti, confit and fresh sausage. Since Fatted Calf is a small facility, we will split into two groups for the tour. Luckily the Oxbow Public Market  is right next door and an ideal location to have a coffee, stroll the vendors, or just sit with a book and relax. After each tour is complete we'll head off to Hudson Ranch with Taylor to visit the chickens, see the pig pasture, and tour the gardens with Scott Boggs. Then we'll sit down to an outdoor bbq prepared by our hosts. Meat lovers uniteTour starts at 9 am and returns to the Ferry Plaza by 4:30 pm.

The tour costs $25 and includes lunch.

Tickets are nonrefundable.

There is no official minimum age, but the tour is geared toward adults and not recommended for children under 12.

As the tour leaves at 9:00 am, we request that you arrive for check-in by 8:45 latest.
Please be prompt! We cannot wait for stragglers.

And, we do know that this is the same day as Bay to Breakers, but since the race start is at 8 am at Spear and Embarcadero, we are hoping that it does not impact getting on board the bus in front of the
Ferry Building. If there is a slight change in our meeting location, you will be notified. But, that said, we hope our only hurdle is a pile of tortillas (It is a tradition at Bay to Breakers to throw tortillas into the air at the start of the race.)

What to bring: water bottle, comfortable walking shoes. Also consider bringing cash for purchases and a camera.

We will do our best to return on time, but traffic conditions can be unpredictable and we can't guarantee punctual arrival.

We sincerely thank our tour sponsor, First National Bank of Northern California, for underwriting tour costs and Coach 21 for providing a discount on the bus charter fee.$25.
