Event Details

We are pleased to announce our Windows 7 extravaganza night.  As promised, we are adopting a multi-track / multi-session format so that members can attend presentations most suited to their experience level and role.  If you are interested in Windows 7 or have plans to deploy it, don't miss these information packed sessions.

Below are the tracks and sessions we have planned.  We're going to be asking you to select the sessions you will most likely attend when you register.  You're not locked in, but it helps us get a quick count for room assignments.  A light dinner will be served with beverages.  Based on feedback, we'll have food ready as people arrive instead of taking a separate break.

There will also be a roundtable discussion at the end of the evening on "Making a Business Case for Windows 7 and Office 2010".  This is an informal discussion being led by Mike Machulsky (President, Software Logic) and Dave Johnston (General Manager, New Horizons Learning Center - Greater Philadelphia).  If your an IT decision maker considering a desktop refresh with Windows 7 and/or Office 2010, join your peers for a open forum discussion on the benefits, challenges, and decision points to consider.  Seating for this session will be limited.

Deployment  Track

Learn about the best practices for Windows 7 deployment along with the free tools from Microsoft that can help you get the job done right.  If you're ready to scale things up, get an inside look at lite-touch and no-touch Windows 7 deployment with System Center Configuration Manager.  These session are targeted at IT professionals responsible for OS deployment and will include significant technical content.

Feature Deep Dive Track

In these tech-heavy sessions, we're going to take some of the top features of Windows 7 (Direct Access, BitLocker and BitLocker To Go, AppLocker, and Windows XP Compatibility Mode / MED-V) and break them down to show you how to implement each in your own environment.  All sessions will include live demonstrations and detailed guidance on how to deploy.

Hands On Labs

New Horizons' instructors are running open labs to give you some hands on experience with key Windows 7 features and capabilities.  This track will also feature an open session for Q&A on Windows 7.
