Extraordinary Science Camps

GPS is more than a talking box full of directions or a compass on steroids. It is a revolution in the way we see and record the world. Combining GPS technology with Google Earth, students will travel beyond the flat maps of the past into a three dimensional world where the imagination sets the limits. Students will become field investigators as they document the various features of our campus as well as cataloguing the plants and animals they find along the way.

- Degrees, Minutes and Seconds.
- Way Cool Waypoints.
- A History of maps - beyond breadcrumbs.

- GIS - synergy in data collection.
- National Security - Selective Availability and Antispoofing.
- Geocache - Treasure Hunting in the 21st Century.

Students are welcome to stay for lunch after the morning session or come early for lunch prior to the
