This class is a prerequisite for private piano lesson at Musik wtih Yvonne.

Children acquire a repertoire of songs and learn the basics of music theory in a fun group setting.  Must  be 5 yrs. old.  4yr olds must have taken Preschoolers' class, or teacher's consent.  Please contact Teacher Yvonne to arrange for audition if your child is not yet 5 AND has not taken the Preschoolers' Class.

Materials covered:

- 5-note major solfege pattern

- rhythm pattern, quarter note, eigth note, half note and rests

- keyboard and staff orientation

- 10 songs in 5-note D major

- Italian terms used in music

There will be an one-on-one audition at the end of the session. Successful audition will be followed by a 30-minute complimentary piano lesson.

REFUND POLICY:

Notified BEFORE first class meeting: full refund (minus Eventbrite convenience fee) given.

Notified AFTER first class meeting: full refund (minus Eventbrite convenience fee) given if materials returned; otherwise material fee ($30) is deducted from refund.

Notified AFTER second class meeting: prorated tuition refund, no materials refund.

Notified AFTER third class meeting and thereafter: no refunds.

MAKE-UP POLICY:

No make-ups.  If child misses class, it is the parent's responsibility to obtain assignment from teacher.  

SIBLING POLICY:

Younger siblings, please stay in the waiting area.

Older siblings may audit class, if he/she is a prviate piano student with Teacher Yvonne or Teacher Stanley.
