PRSA April Luncheon

LUNCHEON OVERVIEW:

An Industry Thought Leader Comes Home

Month after month, we hear that the speaker Q+A is often the best portion of the luncheon program. So what if Q+A was the program?

If you are a student who will soon be seeking employment, a young pro competing for a seat at the leadership table or a seasoned pro who wants to stay ahead of the curve – this is the luncheon for you.

Many know Ron Culp as the author of Culpwrit, his popular blog for students and those seeking career guidance. Others remember him as the Indiana State University grad whose first corporate public relations job was at Eli Lilly and Company. Today, Ron works in Chicago as a Partner and Managing Director of Ketchum and head of the agency’s Corporate Practice in North America. Ron has led PR for Pitney Bowes, Sara Lee Corporation and Sears.

Don’t miss this special luncheon where Hoosier Chapter PRSA president Jamaison Schuler, APR, sits down with Ron for a one-on-one interview. We’ll gain insights about his Indiana roots, career path, and advice for others in today’s business environment. Questions will be taken in advance; please send your questions to president@hoosierprsa.org.

NEW Location

The Hoosier Chapter is testing a variety of venues this year and April’s luncheon will be held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Farm Bureau Building, building #17 according to this map. This location offers:

  • FREE parking – it’s just a few feet from your car to the building.
  • Convenient access for members traveling from the north side and downtown.

Calling all APRs!

April is national Accreditation in Public Relations month, and accredited professionals will be celebrated at the luncheon. APR is a mark of distinction for public relations professionals who demonstrate their commitment to the profession and to its ethical practice, and who are selected based on broad knowledge, strategic perspective, and sound professional judgment.

Special Student-Exclusive Hour

STUDENTS: As if networking with APRs isn’t enough to attend the April luncheon, Ron has agreed to stay for an extra, student-exclusive hour from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Don’t pass up this opportunity to hear his advice for students after the rest of his peers leave the room!

SPECIAL non-member rate for April

This month only: The Hoosier Chapter is welcoming non-members to attend the luncheon for a special rate of only $35. PRSA and IABC members will still enjoy the discounted rate of $25, and the student rate remains $18.
