A REFUGEE CAMP IN THE HEART OF MINNEAPOLIS

A Doctors Without Borders Exhibit

Thursday, September 27 - Sunday, September 30

9:00 am - 5:30 pm

A REFUGEE CAMP IN THE HEART OF THE CITY is an outdoor, interactive educational exhibit made up of the actual structures and materials you would find in a real refugee camp. The exhibit asks visitors to imagine what it is like to be one of the world's 33 million refugees or internally displaced persons forced to leave their homes because of war or conflict.

Doctors Without Borders/MSF aid workers guide visitors through the camp, explain the elements that are crucial for survival in a refugee crisis such as shelter, clean water, food, and medical care, and introduce visitors to the work of MSF.

The exhibit is free and wheelchair accessible.

To better accommodate schools and community organizations, we require groups of 15 or more to pre-register for a reserved time.  Groups with more than 20 participants will be divided into smaller groups.  Individuals are welcome to come to the exhibit without reservations.

The exhibit is a guided tour only and it takes up to 60 minutes.

*********************************************

Please complete the registration form; begin by selecting the total number of people in your group under the "Quantity drop-box".  You will be contacted by MSF staff within a week to confirm your application has been received.

The scheduling process will begin in August. We will do our best to accommodate all requests but due to time/space constraints, scheduling is on a first come, first served basis.

If you need to reach us, please call us at 1.800.490.0773 or by email at refugeecampgroups@newyork.msf.org
