Meeting Topic:

Architects and clients around the world are embracing sustainable design, striving to use their vision and skills to create buildings that support the environment, ensuring the future for future generations. The desire to build green is tempered by project realities, especially budget and the 'business as usual' attitude.

Information on sustainable design costs is often marked by wide variations due to lack of data, and to the fact that project starting budgets vary dramatically. We will present a study of the cost of green that will enable design teams to integrate sustainable design with confidence. Rather than projecting future costs based on anecdotal evidence, this study makes use of cost and performance data for existing projects - completed or in construction - through the combination of a cost database of sustainable design methods and LEED points (construction and operations costs), and a budgeting methodology for implementing sustainable design on a variety of project types.

Who Should Attend?

Developers, Owners Representatives, Builders, Design Professionals, LEED APs, Finance Professionals, Property Managers, Real Estate Professionals, Investors.
