This event is sold out.  We hope you'll join us on the farm on June 19 for Urban Ag Fest 2010: Common Table, benefitting Soil Born Farms and presented by Slow Food Sacramento.  Enjoy a gourmet dinner in the field prepared by Terese and Dio Esperas of A Healthy Kitchen.  Check back soon to buy your tickets!

Chef Patrick Mulvaney and Friends of Soil Born Farms invite you to enjoy a delightful handcrafted spring dinner featuring local food and flavors from our region and help raise funds to support the New Acre Project

The proceeds from this dinner will pay for irrigation, deer fencing, seeds, soil management, labor and the basic infrastructure needed to put one new acre into production at our American River Ranch.

This new acre will produce more than 40,000 lbs. of organic vegetables each year to support our programs. This is a direct and cost-effective solution to the problems of hunger, obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and other health challenges that affect the quality of life for our families, friends and neighbors.

Soil Born Farms Urban Agriculture & Education Project is about so much…growing food, mentoring youth and future farmers, teaching people how to cook and garden, creating urban farms and preserving wild spaces, developing partnerships and improving access to fresh produce throughout our community- yet at the core it is about making a difference. It means transforming a shared vision of healthy food for all into a local reality.

We hope you will join us at the table and learn more about our work in the community. With your support more people will have healthy meals at their tables every day. Together we can make a difference!
