Protecting Your Intellectual Property

Tuesday, 9th March

5-7 PM (followed by networking until 8 PM)

Henry Mitchell Hall, Old Building, Bradford College, Great Horton Road

As a creative practitioner, your ideas are your currency.  So, how do you go about protecting those ideas so someone else doesn’t take the credit (and your money)?  In this session, Jane Lambert will give you an overview of how to protect your intellectual property.

Jane Lambert is a barrister who has practised intellectual property, information technology, media and entertainment and competition law in the North of England for over thirty years  She specialises in helping start-ups and other small businesses protect and exploit their investment in brands, design, technology and creative works.

This event is, quite literally, one that you can’t afford to miss.

This session is part of the “Creative Toolkit” programme.  Fabric, in partnership with the University of Bradford's School of Media and Bradford College’s School of Arts and Media, has developed the ‘Creative Toolkit’ programme.  The ‘Creative Toolkit’ provides networking opportunities, coaching sessions, training events and seminars, all designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills for careers in the creative industries. This programme is supported by funding from the West Yorkshire Lifelong Learning Network and will be held in partnership with WYVAN (West Yorkshire Visual Arts Network).
