Pivot East is East Africa’s premier mobile startups pitching competitions held annually since 2011. Pivot East 2013 will be held on 25th and 26th June 2013 in Kampala Uganda.

On 27th March 2013, Pivot East team will host a workshop in Kampala. The theme of the workshop is: Raising the quality of mobile startups in the region and improving their investability.

The judging panel in this year's event will be focusing on three main areas when scoring. These areas will be discussed during the workshop.They are:

• Defining the customers’ problem and the unique solution.
• Searching for a viable business model and going to market.
• Demonstrating traction and commitment towards being an investable business.
