GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP, APRIL-MAY 2010

 Dear Cleanup Team Leader,

 We hope you will consider helping cleanup Rockland this spring by organizing a crew for the Great American Cleanup.

The target date for this year’s Great American Cleanup is Saturday, April 17 – Sunday, April 25. Cleanups will take place throughout April and May, all around the County. Last year there were over 300 registered crews who received bags and other supplies and support from Keep Rockland Beautiful.

Register your cleanup plan now using this online event registration tool, which has questions about the "where and when" of your cleanup, as well as info about supplies and donations. As always, we need to raise money to pay for supplies and tools. Please consider becoming a campaign sponsor by listing your group name on the back of this year’s commemorative t-shirt. T-shirt sponsors also recognized on KRB website, press releases and other media.

The Kick-Off Event is on Monday, April 12, 2010. This is when most crews pick up their supplies. Plus, it’s fun to meet and mingle with other cleanup crew leaders. See enclosed flyer for details.

The Great American Cleanup brings neighbors together around our common interest in a clean environment and attractive neighborhoods. Last year about 4000 volunteers participated, hauling tons of trash from streets, streams and parks.
