The International Association of Software Architects (IASA) New York Chapter Newsletter – February 2010

 

Our first meeting of 2010 will be a double feature held on February 23rd  at Microsoft, 1290 Avenue of the Americas on the 6th floor.  (Between 51st and 52nd streets next to Radio City Music Hall.)  

The meeting will be held in the Ambassador Conference Room.

And you absolutely must RSVP by close of business the day before the meeting to be admitted.  Due to heightened building security policies there can be no exceptions.

 

We will cover two topics at this meeting.

1.       Bill Zack will give a short presentation on the new IASA Architecture Training and Certification program

2.       Alina Hsu will also begin a series of discussions on Architecture Design Patterns

 

Bios:

For over 20 years, Alina Hsu has worked in Enterprise and Business Architecture, managed Software Development teams and projects, and implemented numerous Process and Quality Improvement initiatives.  She currently focuses on using patterns and systems thinking for Process and Quality Improvement in the healthcare industry.  Alina is a Vice President of the New York Chapter of IASA, and is a certified Lean Practitioner

 

In addition to being the President of the New York IASA chapter and a member of the IASA Board of Directors Bill Zack is also an Architect Evangelist for Microsoft where he specializing in leading-edge Microsoft technologies and developing architectural solutions for Microsoft customers.  Prior to joining Microsoft he acted as a Consultant, Architect, Administrator, Developer, and System Integrator. He has also authored several computer books and white papers.
