Our Changing Profession as Fundraisers:
How the “New Normal” Impacts Us Professionally and Personally

We already know about the studies that show how often development professionals change jobs.  Many of us have encountered salary freezes, staff and budget cuts, or even the loss of a job.  But with the changing economic landscape, what are other things that are impacting our work?  How do we deal the influx of people from the corporate world who have lost jobs and are now seeking a new career in the non-profit sector?  When we make change from one organization to another, how do we deal with the “clean up” we must undertake?  How are funders changing in the ways they’re approaching their grants these days?

Hear some lessons learned from the road over the past 18+ months of working with a variety of non-profits across our region. You’ll hear stories of the “good, the bad, and the ugly”….and hopefully will learn some new skills (and even coping techniques!) to take back to your organization.
