Understanding what motivates people helps executives, managers and business owners improve communication, effectiveness and efficiency in their organizations. Learn how to recognize a person’s natural “wiring” to help identify what types of roles best fit each person. Join us at this highly interactive program where we will focus on using the science of psycho-metric assessments in creating alignment within an organization. As part of the program, all attendees will be sent a brief survey prior to the program to demonstrate the power of understanding motivation and identifying appropriate roles to move the organization forward faster. Anyone who is accountable for managing people to add to the bottom line should attend.

About the Presenter:

Dan Courser started his 28 year career on the “industrial food grid” at Spartan Stores Inc, a billion dollar wholesalers located in Grand Rapids Mi. Dan was the Director of a start up division that grew in sales to 100 million dollars per year in 9 years. He left Spartan in 1989 and joined Busch’s supermarkets as their Chief Operating Officer. Over the past 19 years he grew this upscale grocery store into South Eastern Michigan’s largest independent chain of supermarkets. He retired as Busch’s Chief Executive Officer in January 2008, moved to Pittsburgh and started Predictive Synergistic Systems, a PI Worldwide company.

Executive Women's Council of Greater Pittsburgh

The mission of EWC is to provide leadership and facilitate opportunities to increase the political and economic power of executive and professional women.

The Executive Women's Council (EWC), Greater Pittsburgh, Inc., was created to provide enrichment, support, and a source of collective influence for executive and professional women in Pittsburgh. The Council was formed in 1975 by a group of women who held responsible positions within the local industry, education, government, private institutions, and the professions. After 30 years, it remains today a unique organization that provides opportunities for qualified women in various fields to meet and interact.

EWC activities include a variety of committees on which to serve, an active communication mechanism via an e-newsletter and listserv, a Women in Leadership Program, a Women on Boards Initiative, an EWC Woman of Achievement Award, and networking opportunities that include educational programs.

We encourage you to learn more about our organization and the wealth of talent that lies within. We are proud that our members are active, accomplished, and award winning citizens who have their finger directly on the pulse of our community.
