Impressions: Printmaking Art Camp
Ages: 5th-12th grade *(see note below)
June 25-29

Camp Tuition: $100
Taught by: Teresa Johnson
Discover what beautiful works of art can be produced through the printmaking medium. Students in this class will see what they can create using an odd assortment of things such as found objects, leaves, vegetables & fruit, a bar of soap, cardboard and even computer mouse pads! We will begin with simple materials like finger paints and carved potatoes, moving to more complex textural wood block and linoleum block cuts. Students will make their own rubber stamp, wrapping paper, stationery and cloth bag in addition to original art prints suitable for framing. Works by the masters will be explored. As an introduction to this exciting medium, the class should inspire students to pursue it further.
*Please note regarding age limits that students should be able to use an X-acto cutting knife responsibly.
