An event to support and inspire Young Advisors, their leads, young people and others to achieve outstanding empowerment practice


Young Advisors is working with the Community Development Foundation to host a national event to celebrate innovative engagement practice and to disseminate research on what young people have identified as the key barriers and enablers to their involvement.  

With training for Young Advisors and young people to help them improve their communities, workshops for adults to develop skills for engaging with young people, and several innovative projects who will be showcasing their work it will be a day not to miss!

The event will start at 10:30 with registrations and coffee and finish at 4 (with lunch included of course!)

Young Advisors is an exciting and innovative national programme, giving young people a voice and platform to make improvements to their community.  Working as paid consultants, Young Advisors, aged between 15 and 21, will help you understand what it is like for young people to live, work, learn and play in today’s world.

·       Understanding the national context of youth engagement and the duty to involve

·       Youth lead research on barriers and enablers to young people’s empowerment

·       Practical tools and support for the engagement of young people

·       Learning about Young Advisors and other innovative empowerment initiatives
