So you want to have your software-as-a-service running on Windows Azure. Good choice! Although there are some things to consider. In this session, the creators of Goeleven.com, MyGet.org and VoxVoi.com will share their insights and war stories on the platform: how to get the application up and running? Which architecture to use for which workload? How to make the operational cost as low as possible? Make sure to fire any question you have to our speakers!
Speaker: Yves Goeleven is a solution architect at Capgemini Belgium with 10 years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise grade applications and systems. Yves has been an advocate for development methodologies and architectural styles, like Domain Driven Design, Command Query Responsibility Segregation and Event Driven Architecture, independent of specific products. Today he is specializing in Microsoft's Platform As A Service offering, Windows Azure. Yves is also very active in the belgian Microsoft community. Besides being a frequent speaker and blogger, he is also one of the founders of AZUG. In 2011 Yves has been awarded as 'Most Valuable Professional for Windows Azure'.
Speaker: Panagiotis Kefalidis is a Software Development Consultant/Architect and Trainer. He has been a speaker at domestic and international events such TechEd and ITProDevConnections, delivering trainings and consulting on cloud computing and the Windows Azure Platform for almost 3 years. He also has experience with other cloud platforms like AWS, Google Gears and others. He's a supporter of the EuroCloud movement, likes Pizza, Sushi and fast cars. Born and raised in Greece but currently living and working at Belgium for Devoteam BE.. He is currently a Windows Azure MVP.
Speaker: Maarten Balliauw is a Technical Evangelist at JetBrains. His interests are all web: ASP.NET MVC, PHP and Windows Azure. He's a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for Windows Azure and an ASPInsider. He has published many articles in both PHP and .NET literature such as MSDN magazine and PHP architect. Maarten is a frequent speaker at various national and international events such as MIX (Las Vegas), TechDays, DPC, ... His blog can be found at http://blog.maartenballiauw.be.
