Development Marketplace is an open grant competition of the World Bank that seeks innovative, local development solutions from around the world. This year's Global Competition is focused on innovative ideas for improving health, nutrition and population issues for the poor. 104 finalists from 42 different countries will be brought to Washington, D.C. and will share their ideas with the general public. A jury comprised of senior-level representatives from inside and outside the World Bank will select projects to receive up to US$200,000. Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at 4pm on May 23rd.
