TAPAS NIGHT AT JAMIE KENNEDY’S GILEAD BISTRO

Sign up now to avoid disappointment. We must confirm with Gilead by February 5 to maintain our booking, so book now!

For our next event we have a VERY special treat.

For many years, Jamie Kennedy has been a bright light in the food scene in Toronto, starting with Scaramouche and Palmerston in the 1980's. More recently Jamie opened JK Wine Bar on Church Street, the restaurant at the Gardiner Museum, and the Gilead Café.  He also operates Jamie Kennedy Kitchens, his catering service. In 2010, he opened the Gilead Bistro at the site of the Gilead Cafe where we will hold our event on February 15.

We will be taking over the ENTIRE space!!   As the cafe is modest in size, attendance is strictly limited to 30 people – first come, first served.   Jamie will prepare a light tapas-style meal featuring local produce for our enjoyment.

Wines that our cellar master, Chris Bee, has selected are:

Vina Noceto  Sangiovese  2004  Sierra Foothills (in Magnums - an excellent food wine!)
Sokol Blosser Pinot Noir 1999 Washington (Watershed)   ($120 when purchased)
Laurel Glen Cabernet Sauvignon  1996  Sonoma (Counterpoint) ($75 when purchased)
Nichol's Cabernet Sauvignon        2000  Paso Robles
Macari  Cabernet Franc               2004  Long Island

(Its located just south of King Street, 2 short blocks east of Parliament)
