Go to www.choosechicago.com.  On the left sidebar there is a search bar for hotels.  Choose "Select Chicago Region" and choose loop.  Any of those hotels are within about .5 miles of the green line which will take you to within .2 miles of the church.

Transportation:

The CTA train (www.trasitchicago.com) has direction you can plug into. 

General Information from hotels to the church:

Take the Green Line labeled "Harlem" (heading West) to the Oak Park Avenue stop.  After exiting the train station, take a right (heading North) toward Lake Street which is a little over a block.  At Lake Street take a left (heading West) and go to the end of that block (it is a long block). Cross Lake Street and you will be directly in front of First United Church and it's main entrance into the santuary.  The church is next door to the public library and across the street from Unity Temple and the downtown post office.
