Event Details

Learn all about data collection, its business applications, its business misapplications, and the specialists whose jobs it is to carry them out.

This session, led by two senior researchers from Johnson Research Labs (NYC), will constitute
an overview of data science for entrepreneurs. It will present the basic means necessary to
understand what advanced data analysis and a data scientist can bring to your organization.

While oriented toward a nontechnical audience, a brief introduction to some core scientific
concepts of data science will be provided: regression, clustering, causality, and computational
needs. In addition, a general overview of hiring data scientists (separating hype from value) will
be presented.

No matter what your background, or where you are in your career, INNOVATION ED will spark innovative thinking, introduce you to a vibrant community of innovative professionals, and give you skills you can use the next day.

We know there are a ton of great resources and content online. It’s easy to watch a TED Talk by an inspiring entrepreneur, or sign up for an EdEx class (we love them both). But there is nothing as rewarding as taking a class in person, from an experienced instructor you interact with, and fellow innovators you collaborate with.
