Daedra A. Von Mike McGhee is responsible for the establishment of executive strategic outreach efforts with leadership of business, entrepreneur, civic, and professional organizations.  Daedra engages leaders in constructive dialogue and larger initiatives on the Governor’s Priorities, programs, initiatives, and policies essential to the success of emerging and small businesses, and facilitates implementation of the resulting strategies designed for positive transformation of Michigan's emerging businesses, entrepreneurial and civic communities. 

Daedra has received numerous honors for leadership and commitment to community transformation including: the National Association of Women Business Owners, Michigan Women's Business Enterprise Council, African Women Economic Consortium, US Department of Justice for the Advocates and Leaders for Police and Community Trust collaboration, Women of Wayne State University leadership award, and Women's Justice Center/My Sister's Place.

Daedra earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Wayne State University, and received a fellowship to the prestigious Center for Creative Leadership, Brussels, Belgium; LaJolla, California.  Daedra’s ultimate goal is to complete a dual Masters-PhD in Public Administration/Social Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
