Event Details

Check-in for all events begins at 8:30am. The workshop will begin at 9am and end by 3:30pm. Lunch and materials are included.

March 12*: Conservation Cropping Systems, at the Dubios County Fairgrounds, 157 S. SR 162, Huntingburg, IN (map

March 14*: Conservation Cropping Systems, SEPAC (4425 East 350 North, Butlerville, IN)
In these workshops, students will learn details about no‐till management, including nutrient and pest management, how to adjust no‐till planters, how to advise farmers on details like planter clinics, etc. Students will gain the ability to work with farmers one on one to obtain a successful no‐till system. CEU’s applied for.

 

March 21*: Cover Crop Training, Purdue University's Agronomy Center for Research and Education Diagnostic Training Center (4540 U.S. 52, West Lafayette, IN)
Students will leave this workshop feeling comfortable in advising farmers on how to choose cover crops that work best with their current system, as well as learn to use tools like the Midwest Cover Crops Council Selector Tool and the NRCS Seeding Tool. Discussion of nutrient and pest management will be included. CEU’s applied for.
