The Seeing Lab is a 2.5 hour course to learn how to detect and read micro-expressions - small contractions of the facial muscles that last only tenths of a second, but give a window into what someone is feeling.

Ever talk with someone & get the feeling that there's something more they want to say? Maybe they said they were happy, but you noticed a tint of sadness. Or maybe they said were mad, and you noticed a hint of happiness. 

In this fun, interactive course we'll do a pretest of your people-reading abilities. 2.5 hours later, your post-test scores will show you how much you've learned.

Results:
By learning how to notice and read facial & body micro-expressions, you'll become more compassionate, aware & intuitive. You will notice the beauty of mixed emotions, feel an increased sense of calmness & confidence, and an ability to cut through the clutter to figure out what truly matters to you and your conversation partner.

Scientific background:
This course is based on Dr. LeeAnn Renninger's research on memory and the 5 senses, Paul Ekman's research on facial expressions, Karl Grammer's research on movement cues.

We'll be using imaging software - the same kind used by secret service agents - to learn how to detect and notice facial micro-movements, a skill that leads to big boosts in one's ability to 'see'.
